Funky Handbags
I do a LOT of eBay searches as I look around for cheap purses that are still high quality. I've learned to look for things in ways that may at times seem less than traditional.
Everyone searches for "Coach Purse", so I like to take a different approach sometimes. I'll think of uncommon search terms that someone might use in their listings that most people won't think of looking for when they are searching. This can bring some interesting results. I've decided to make a regular feature out of showing off some of the unusual searches that bring back nice deals on purses and handbags you might be interested in seeing. My search for this post was "Funky Handbag". The results were pretty interesting. Some very interesting designs and shapes came up when I ran this search. Little add-ons like feathers mixed with leopard prints were certainly funky, as was the "sock monkey tote" that I never ever would have thought to search for on my own. That is the fun of doing this kind of search on eBay. Sometimes sellers just can't find the right words, so they'll come up with some odd descriptions. Of course when the bag you are listing looks like a badger that sprouted feathers, what can you really say? Some other interesting purses and handbags that turned up included listings for zebra-cow faux fur purses, leather purses covered in fruit prints and several Hello Kitty. There was also a puppy skeleton purse (really) and a license plate purse. All very interesting and almost guaranteed to not receive many natural searches because I can't imagine there are a lot of people typing in "puppy skeleton purse" even if it is a cute purse. There were also some funky retro bags and funky tote bags for those who prefer a larger bag to carry all of their stuff and make a truly bold statement. Actually, pretty much every type of purse or handbag was represented in my search. There were diaper bags, laptop bags... you name it. It just goes to prove my point that you can find just about anything on eBay if you do the right searches. I could not have predicted most of the items I saw when I ran this "funky" search.
