If I have to take it off, at least off one shoulder, every time I want my lip gloss, then it's too much trouble. Messengers are great for this, though, not to hard on the shoulder to carry and very easy to get into. I carry a Zosephine diaper bag as a purse. I know that seems crazy, but it's a great size, not too big, not too small, and I love the look.
