Gucci Purses ...

Gucci is a huge name in fashion.  Although the company went through major upheavals during the 1980s, they have regained their footing in the fashion and design market.  The company was founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci in Florence, Italy and later taken over by his sons upon his death in 1953.

The company went through some difficult times after the Gucci Accessories Collection brought Gucci to more of us common folk.  Some of the more exclusive clientele did not appreciate the loss of exclusivity.  There was also a problem with knockoff Gucci merchandise hitting the market during that period.

Gucci has been a publicly traded company since 1995 and has made quite a recovery.  With a new head executive, Tom Ford, Gucci has claimed a strong spot in a variety of product lines.  There are the purses of course, but you can now find Gucci lines of cosmetics, shoes, colognes and perfumes, watches, suitcases and more.

If you are a Gucci fan, you may be surprised at how low some of the prices can be when you check them on eBay.  Be sure to ask the seller any questions you have and learn how to tell an authentic Gucci bag from a counterfeit before spending too much money.
