Cheap Purses and Handbags

Leather Handbags

Leather handbags are one of the most popular searches related to purses and handbags on eBay from what I can tell.  The designers vary, but women like the feel, look and durability of leather handbags.  Some people even enjoy the smell!

Genuine designer leather handbags can be quite expensive, as I'm sure you know.  Many women consider it a fashion investment though and realize that buying a better purse to begin with can save them money in the long run as they get longer wear from a designer leather bag than they would from a cheap knock off purse.

Once you have made the decision to purchase a quality leather purse, do what you can to maintain it.  A few common sense precautions can help you keep your designer leather bag looking good for a long time.  First of all, I would recommend investing in a purse hook for when you go out.  Not only will this keep your designer bag out of the sticky filth that can be found on some floors, it will also keep your bag well within your reach and reduce the risk of someone taking off with a free designer purse and all of your valuables!  Next, don't handle your bag with filthy hands.  OK, you probably wouldn't pick your clean leather purse up with mud all over your hands, but how about make up or food?  All of that adds up to a dirty purse after a while.  You should also watch for wear in any spot where there is a possibility of rubbing (at the handles for example).  Finally, maintain your leather bag by following the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and/or treating the leather.  Don't use harsh cleaners on your purse and even when using recommended products, test them in an inconspicuous spot before covering the leather bag to the point of no return.  Good Luck!
